[13] ADJUSTMENT OF MIRROR FOR CHECKING IRREGULAR WINDING
Be sure to adjust the mirrors before operation. If the mirror is poorly adjusted, irregular
winding caused by the winch drum cannot be checked. This not only damages the wire
rope, but also
shakes a hoisted load at the time of lowering, leading to instability and
serious physical injury.
Adjust the mirror (1) mounting so that an operator has a good
view of the winch drum.
• If the mirror movement is stiff during adjustment, loosen the
mirror bolts to adjust.
