7.3.2 Choosing AHA or IEC Lead Placement
1. Select the ECG parameter window to enter the [ECG Setup] menu.
2. Select [Lead Set] and then select [3-lead], [5-lead] or [12-lead] according to the
applied electrodes.
3. Select [Main Menu]→[Maintenance >>]→[User Maintenance >>]→enter the
required password
4. Select [Others >>]→[ECG Standard] and then select [AHA] or [IEC] according to the
standard that is applied for your hospital.
7.3.3 ECG Lead Placements
3-Leadwire Electrode Placement
Following is an electrode configuration when
using 3 leadwires:
îš„ RA placement: directly below the
clavicle and near the right shoulder.
îš„ LA placement: directly below the
clavicle and near the left shoulder.
îš„ LL placement: on the left lower
abdomen.
5-Leadwire Electrode Placement
Following is an electrode
configuration when using 5 leadwires:
îš„ RA placement: directly below the
clavicle and near the right
shoulder.
îš„ LA placement: directly below the
clavicle and near the left
shoulder.
îš„ RL placement: on the right lower
abdomen.
