7.7 About Arrhythmia Monitoring
Arrhythmia analysis provides information about your patient’s condition, including heart rate,
PVC rate, rhythm and ectopics.
7.7.1 Switching Arrhythmia Analysis On and Off
To switch arrhythmia analysis on or off:
1. In the [ECG Setup] menu, select [Arrh. Analysis >>].
2. Select [Arrh. Analysis] to toggle between [On] and [Off].
7.7.2 Changing Arrhythmia Alarm Settings
Arrhythmia alarms can be switched on and off, and other alarm settings such as alarm limits,
alarm level, etc. can be changed just like other measurement alarms, as described in the
Alarms section. In the [Arrh. Analysis] menu, you can change alarm settings for all
arrhythmia events. You can also select [Arrh. Alarm Setup >>] from the [Arrh. Analysis]
menu and then change alarm settings for individual arrhythmia events.
7.7.3 Initiating Arrhythmia Relearning Manually
To initiate relearning manually, in the [ECG Setup] menu, select [Arrh. Analysis >>]→
[Relearn Arrh.]. When the patient monitor is learning, the message [Arrh. Learning] is
displayed in the technical alarm area.
7.7.4 Automatic Arrhythmia Relearn
Arrhythmia relearning is initiated automatically whenever:
îš„ The ECG lead or lead label is changed
îš„ The ECG lead is re-connected
îš„ A new patient is admitted
îš„ The paced status setting is changed
îš„ A switch happens between [Normal] and [12-Lead] display when monitoring 12-lead
ECG.
