8 Maintenance and inspection
General
Frequency inverters are electronic devices. Maintenance work is
therefore not usually required. Local conditions and company
procedures may require regular inspection.
In general we recommend the following regular checks:
Electrocution hazard
The work described below must be performed only by
electricians and other suitably trained personnel.
Open the device only when it is safely isolated from its
supply and at zero volts!
After disconnecting the power supply, wait for at least
5 minutes before carrying out any maintenance,
installation or repair work to allow the capacitors to
discharge to harmless values.
