Parameter settings for Modbus
Prerequisites for correct operation with Modbus-RTU are:
• The PLC (master) is fitted with a serial interface RS 485 and with
the required driver software for Modbus-RTU.
• The parameters of the DF51 frequency inverters (slaves) are set
for communication via Modbus. For reliable setting of some
user-defined parameters, you will need the master’s (i.e. the
host PC’s) settings, such as the baud rate.

Parameters PNU C071 to C078 can not be altered
through the bus. They must be initially set using a keypad
(DEX-KEY-…) or a PC.

The values in the “Required settings” column (such as
baud rate, bus address and parity) must be taken into
account for communications through Modbus.
