Input Description
NOT USED This input is not currently assigned.
ALIVE Input used in Duplex operation to inform the car that the other car is powered
APS FAIL Auxiliary power supply failure (TAPS or HAPS)
APS ON This signal means auxiliary power is active. Auxiliary power supply (HAPS and TAPS)
APS REVD Detected that reversing direction is appropriate. Auxiliary power supply reverse direction
(TAPS)
BRAKE SW Brake switch. Must be assigned to an input terminal before physical brake verification is
performed.
CC ENBL1-16 Car Call Enable Inputs from security system
DCB Activate this input to close doors. Door close button
DCL This limit switch opens when doors reach closed position. Door close limit
DLM Down level marker
DOB Activate this input to open the doors. Door open button
DOL This limit switch opens when the doors are fully open. Door open limit
DOOR HOLD Activate this input to hold the doors open. Door hold button or switch
DPM Code mandated limit switch that tells us doors are truly closed. Door position monitor
EMDISP Sometimes referred to as Wild Operation and takes over in the event of dispatcher failure.
Emergency dispatch
EMDISP OV Input that bypasses Wild Operation, when active, car will stay at last call entered in the
event of dispatcher failure. Emergency dispatch override
EMSC SW In Car Emergency Service input that transfers car to Phase 2 of emergency service. Emer-
gency Medical Service in-car fixture input
EMSH SW Hallway Key switch that activates Phase 1 of emergency service. Emergency Medical Ser-
vice hall fixture input
EPI A normally a closed contact that opens to alert controller to presence of Emergency Power.
Emergency power input (EPI)
EPI C A normally an open contact that closes to alert controller to presence of Emergency Power.
Emergency power input, active low
EP AUTO When input is active, car to run on Emergency Power is automatically selected. Emergency
power auto select input
EP MANUAL Use this input to manually select car to run on Emergency Power operation. Emergency
power manual select input
EQ CWT Earthquake counterweight derail
EQ SS Input from Shaker Box that tells controller than an earthquake has occurred. Earthquake
seismic sensor
FR1 OFF When in OFF position, system looks to smokes to determine status of Fire Service.
FR1 ON When in ON position, system is on fire recall to main egress floor.
FR1 ON2 When in ON position, system is on fire recall to main egress floor, however both switches
must be off to reset fire service. ON position of the additional fire recall switch
FR1 RESET Used to reset or bypass Fire Service Phase 1. RESET position of the primary fire recall
switch
FR2 CANCEL When on Phase 2 Fire, used to cancel any existing car calls. Firefighter CALL CANCEL
switch
FR2 HOLD Used to hold the doors open when on Phase 2 Fire Service. HOLD position of firefighter in
car switch
