ELECTRONIC HOOK SWITCH HEADSET
SUPPORTED FEATURES
For supported headsets, the following functions are supported by EHS for DT820
terminals:
Answering an incoming call
Go off hook to make an outgoing call.
Terminate (on hook) a call from the headset
Mute or unmute the headset microphone.
SETUP AND INSTALLATION
Before you install the headset base station, the EHS Headset setting on the phone
must be enabled.
Note: You must have administrative privileges to change the operation mode of the
EHS Headset setting. Contact your network administrator to determine if you
need the setting enabled for your phone.
Headset Base Station Setup
Follow the manufacturers instructions for assembling your headset and base station.
Enable the Headset port one the phone
1 Press the Menu key on the phone.
2 Select 3 User Settings.
3 Select 2 Headset.
4 Select 1 Enable/Disable.
5 Select 2 Enable.
6 Press Enter b on the cursor pad or the OK softkey to accept the setting.
Enable EHS headset at the phoneset device
1 Press the Menu key.
2 Select 4 Admin Settings.
3 Use the keypad and cursor key to enter the User Name and Password to access the
Admin menu.
4 Select 3 Maintenance.
5 Select 4 EHS Headset.
6 Select 2 Enable.
7 Press the OK softkey.
8 Press the Exit softkey.
9 Press the Exit softkey again.
10 Press the Yes softkey to restart the phone.
