Configuring iLO SNTP settings
In iLO 5 Firmware Version 1.10 Jun 07 2017, when SNTP setting is not configured or when it is
not used in an environment where can be synchronized with the time server, the following times
are displayed.
If Show Default and Show ISO Time are selected, the following is displayed.
System time(UTC±Time Zone) displayed in BIOS/Platform Configuration(RBSU)
If Show Local Time is selected, the following is displayed.
Added to the System time(UTC±Time Zone) displayed in BIOS/Platform Configuration(RBSU)
and the time zone of the environment of the client connected to iLO.
In iLO 5 Firmware Version 1.15 Aug 17 2017, when SNTP setting is not configured and Time
Format on BIOS/Platform Configuration(RBSU) is Local Time, the following times are displayed.
If Show Default and Show ISO Time are selected, the following is displayed.
System time(UTC±Time Zone) displayed in BIOS/Platform Configuration(RBSU)
If Show Local Time is selected, the following is displayed.
Added to the System time(UTC±Time Zone) displayed in BIOS/Platform Configuration(RBSU)
and the time zone of the environment of the client connected to iLO.
Prerequisites
• Configure iLO Settings privilege
• At least one NTP server is available on your management network.
• If you will use a DHCPv4-provided NTP service configuration, DHCPv4 is enabled on the IPv4
tab.
• If you will use a DHCPv6-provided NTP service configuration, DHCPv6 Stateless Mode is
enabled on the IPv6 tab.
• For DHCPv6 time settings configurations only: The server is configured to use the iLO
Dedicated Network Port. IPv6 is not supported in the Shared Network Port configuration.
Procedure
1. Click iLO Dedicated Network Port or iLO Shared Network Port in the navigation tree.
2. Click the SNTP tab.
