Prepare the reinforcement knives for cleaning

Press the
on line
button on the printer operating panel to put the printer off line.
The message ‘
Off line
’ is displayed in the status window.

Press the left selection button to shift the focus to the
Folding
menu.
A shadow effect is used to indicate that the focus is set to this menu.

Select the
Special
option from the
Folding
menu.

Press the right selection button start activate the
Knife
option.
The following information is now displayed in the panel display:

Note:
When a job is running, the message ‘Job interrupted’ appears. The
machine stops running after it has correctly finished the prints that were
already in the engine. Then the reinforcement knives are placed in the
correct position.
5 You can now continue to clean the reinforcement knives (see ‘Maintenance of
the reinforcement unit’ on page 254).
