3 CUSTOMIZATION
To set up Ethernet communication:
• Connect instrument to an active network.
• Go to <System -> Diagnostics -> Tests
-> Ethernet>.
• Verify that the test status is <Connected>
and you have a valid IP address (not all
zeroes) (Fig. 3-43).
• Go back to menu <System -> Setup ->
Hardware -> Interface> (Fig. 3-44).
• Choose communication format <ASCII> or
<ASTM>.
• Change communication link from <Serial>
to <Ethernet>.
• Choose the <Ethernet> tab (Fig. 3-45).
• Set <TCP Port> to what your data manager
species is your instrument port. Each
analyzer type may have a different port
specied.
• Enter your computer’s host IP address into
the <Host IP> eld.
• Press
.
• <Format> (E1394), <IP Type>
(Dynamic), and <UDP Port> elds should
remain at default.
6. Press to return to the <Setup> screen
or
to return to <Ready>.
