Tools and Equipment Needed for Installation
To install the server, you must have the following tools:
■
No. 2 Phillips screwdriver
■
ESD mat and grounding strap
In addition, you must provide a system console device, such as one of the following:
■
ASCII terminal
■
Workstation
■
Terminal server
■
Patch panel connected to a terminal server

ESD and Safety Precautions
Electronic equipment is susceptible to damage by static electricity. Use a grounded antistatic
wriststrap, footstrap, or equivalent safety equipment to prevent electrostatic discharge (ESD)
when you install or service the server.
