The capacity of a Data Matrix barcode is determined primarily by two
factors:
• The dimension of the barcode measured by the number of modules. A
module is either a black or white square.

• The data encoding method used when the barcode is generated. The
three most common data encoding types are:
- Numeric (just numbers, highest data density)
- Alphanumeric (numbers and letters)
- Binary (just numbers 0 and 1)
