Verify the VMs have been shut down by connecting to VMware vSphere Client and logging in to all Acuity ESXi Hosts in
the vPG. Verify all relevant VMs are powered off.
Acuity ESXi Host
Launch the VMware vSphere Client and log in to the Acuity ESXi host in the chosen Acuity vPG.
Select the IP address in the left pane, then right-click the IP address and select Shut Down from the menu displayed.
Follow the instructions in the dialogs displayed to shut down the ESXi host.
Repeat Steps 1 and 2 for all other Acuity ESXi hosts in the Acuity vPG if applicable.
Ensure all Acuity ESXi hosts have been shut down.
Procedure Verification After Power Up
If desired, power on the nodes via physical power button or remote access (iDRAC for Dell, IMM for Lenovo).
Using VMware vSphere client, connect to and log in to all Acuity ESXi Hosts in the vPG and verify the VM has started
back up.
Log in to the Pivot3 vCenter Plugin and ensure vPG is up and health is normal.
