Add Upgrade Package to vCSA-Based
vCenter
Unzip the super package to a folder bearing the same name as the super package minus the “.zip.”
Enable SSH on the vCenter server.
SSH into the vCenter server.
For vCenter 6.5 environments, type the following commands:
shell
chsh -s /bin/bash root
For vCenter 6.0 environments, type the following commands:
shell.set –enable true root
shell
chsh -s /bin/bash
Open WinSCP and connect to the vCenter server.
Copy the unzipped directory to the /var/pivot3 directory of the vCenter server.
Open the vCenter plugin in a web browser and log in as Administrator.
Navigate to the Configure tab in the Pivot3 plugin.
Discover the vPG if necessary.
Select the vPG to be upgraded.
Select Configuration > Update OS.
