Manual Calls
Manual calls allow you to connect to the E-Services Server in order to retrieve incoming
information or to enable features and options on demand.
You may be instructed to use this function when postal rates are
changed.
You can initiate a call to the E-Services Server from the User Menu and the Supervisor
Menu.
To initiate a manual call using PC Meter Link Application, please
seePC Meter Link Application on page 101 .
When the connection type is set to PC-Meter Link , manual calls
are no longer available through your Mailing System console.
How to Call the E-Services Server Manually as a User
To initiate a manual call as a User:
1. Either:
Press and type 9.3
Or
Select the path: E-Services Standard Call
Your Mailing System connects to the server and downloads any information that is
waiting to be download such as rates, slogans, feature upgrades etc.
2. Check your Mailbox for messages: See Using your Mailbox on page 146 .
