EnablingDualRangeradaroperation
Intheradarapplication:
1.PresstheMENUbutton.
2.Usingthetrackpad,highlighttheRadarSetupmenuitem,then
pressthetrackpadrighttoselectit.
3.Usingthetrackpad,highlighttheScannerSetupmenuitem,
thenpressthetrackpadrighttoselectit.
4.Usingthetrackpad,highlighttheDualRangemenuitem,then
pressthetrackpadrighttoselectit.
5.Usingthetrackpad,selecttheONoption.
6.PresstheOKbutton.
Selectinglongorshortrangeradaroperation
Intheradarapplication:
1.PressthePRESENTATIONsoftkey.
2.PresstheRADARMODE&OPERATIONsoftkey.
3.PresstheDUALRANGEsoftkeyrepeatedlyuntiltheLONGor
SHORToptionisselected,asappropriate.
4.PresstheOKbutton.
9.6Radarmodeandorientation
Radarorientationmodes
Theradarcanoperateinanumberoforientationmodestosuit
differenttypesofnavigation.
Theorientationoftheradarreferstotherelationshipbetweenthe
radarandthedirectionthatyouaretravellingin.Therearethree
orientationmodestochoosefrom:
Headup.
Northup.
Courseup.
Theseorientationmodesareusedinconjunctionwithmotionmode
tocontrolhowyourboatandradarrelatetooneanotherandhow
theyaredisplayedonscreen.Anychangesthatyoumaketothe
orientationoftheradarareretainedwhenyouswitchoffyour
multifunctiondisplay.
HeadUp(H-UP)
Thisisthedefaultmodefortheradarapplication.
Ship's Heading Marker (SHM)
(indicating the boat's current
heading) is upwards
As your boat's heading changes:
SHM fixed upwards
Radar picture rotates accordingly
