YoucancombinethechartwiththeradarorMARPAfunctionsto
providetargettrackingortohelpyoudistinguishbetweenxed
objectsandothermarinetrafc.
Youcanenhancetheuseofyourchartbycombiningitwiththe
followingradarfeatures:
•Radarrangesynchronization.
•MARPA.
•Radaroverlay(fordistinguishingbetweenxedandmoving
objects).
Radarrangesynchronization
Whensynchronizationisswitchedon:
•Theradarrangeinallradarwindows,changestomatchthechart
scale.
•‘Sync’isindicatedinthetopleft-handcornerofthechartwindow.
•Ifyouchangetheradarrange,inanyradarwindow,all
synchronizedchartviewschangescaletomatch.
•Ifyouchangethescaleofasynchronizedchartwindow,allradar
windowschangerangetomatch.
UsingtheradartoviewMARPAtargetsonthechart
TheMiniAutomaticRadarPlottingAid(MARPA)functionisused
fortargettrackingandriskanalysis.WhenMARPAissetupin
radarmodeorradaroverlay,allMARPAtargetsaredisplayedinthe
chartwindowandassociatedMARPAfunctionscanbeaccessed
viathechart.
Usingradaroverlaytodistinguishbetweenxedandmoving
objects
Youcanoverlayradarimagedataoveryourchartimageallowing
betterdistinctionbetweenxedobjectsandothermarinetrafc.For
bestresults,switchonRadar-Chartsynchronizationtoensureradar
rangeandchartscalearesynchronized.

Inthechartapplication:
1.PressthePRESENTATIONsoftkey.
2.PresstheCHARTLAYERSsoftkey.
3.PresstheRADAROVERLAYsoftkeyuntiltheONorOFFoption
isselected,asrequired.
Note:Ifradaroverlayisappliedtoachartwindowthatisset
tosystemview,theoverlaywillbedisplayedinallothersystem
viewchartwindows.
