Gainpresets
•Buoy—aspecial
modethatenhances
thedetectionofsmall
objectslikemooring
buoys.Itisusefulat
rangesupto0.75nm.
•Harbor—thisisthe
defaultmode.This
settingtakesaccount
oflandcluttersothat
smallertargets,like
navigationbuoys,are
notlost.
•Coastal—accounts
fortheslightlyhigher
levelsofseaclutter
youmightencounter
outofharborand
adjuststheradar
displayaccordingly.
•Offshore—
automaticallyadjusts
forhighlevelsofsea
clutter.
Foreachpreset,the
followingoptionsare
available:
•Gain—enablesyou
touseapresetin
fullyautomaticmode,
ortoadjustitsgain
manuallybetween0
and100%.
•ColorGain—adjusts
theintensity(color)of
displayedtargets,but
doesnotsignicantly
affectthenumberof
targetsdisplayed.
Increasingthe
colorgaincauses
moretargetstobe
displayedinthesame
color,whichmayhelp
youtodetermine
whetheranobject
isanactualtarget,
orjustbackground
noise.Reducing
thecolorgainmay
providebettertarget
detailanddetection.
Thedigitalradar
gainpresetsenable
youtoquicklyselect
pre-conguredsettings
toachievethebest
pictureindifferent
situations.Raymarine
stronglyrecommends
theuseofthesepresets
toachieveoptimum
results.However,each
ofthegainpresetscan
bemanuallyadjusted
usinggain,colorgain,
rain,andseagain
functions.

canclutterthecenter

makingitdifcult
todetectrealtargets.
