MeasuringusingoatingVRMandEBL
YoucanusetheVRM/EBLoatfunctiontomeasuretherangeand
bearingbetweenanytwopointsontheradarscreen.Thisfunction
allowsyoutomovetheVRM/EBLcentreawayfromyourboat’s
positionandontoatarget.Youcanthenchangetheradiusofthe
VRMtodeterminethedistancebetweentwopointsandchangethe
angleoftheEBL,relativetoitsneworigin,toobtainthebearing.
CreatingaVRMorEBLontheradardisplay
1.IntheRadarapplication,presstheVRM/EBL1softkeyuntilthe
ONoptionisselected.
2.PresstheADJUSTVRMsoftkey.
3.Usingtherotarycontrol,adjusttheVRMtotherequiredsize.
4.PresstheADJUSTEBLsoftkey.
5.Usingtherotarycontrol,adjusttheEBLtotherequiredangle.
6.PresstheOKbuttontosavethesettings.
7.RepeatSteps1to6tocreateasecondVRM/EBLifrequired,
thistimeusingtheVRM/EBL2softkey.
Note:TherstVRM/EBLwillbeplacedatalocationof1/3of
thecurrentrangeand030°relativetoyourvessel’shead.Ifthis
settingisadjusted,thedisplaywillretaintheadjustmentsanduse
themwhentheVRM/EBLisnextenabled.

1.IfyouhavealreadycreatedaVRMorEBL,skiptoStep7.

6.PresstheOKbuttontosavethesettings.
7.Usingthetrackpad,positionthecursorovertheVRMorEBL.
8.PresstheFLOATINGEBLsoftkey.
9.PresstheADJUSTFLOATsoftkey.
10.Usingthetrackpad,movetheoattodenetherstpointfor
yourmeasurement.
11.PresstheOKbuttontwice.
12.PresstheADJUSTVRMsoftkey
