Chapter 2 Installation Instructions
Before You Begin This section lists important information that you must consider before
starting to build your 1715 Redundant I/O System:
• Review the parts list and identify the system components.
• Review the power requirements for the system and for field devices.
• Review design considerations for heating and cooling.
• Specify an enclosure.
• Install the necessary software.

Parts List
These parts are available to build a 1715 Redundant I/O System. Their
description and catalog part numbers are as follows.
ATTENTION: Failing to install retaining clips and properly secure the
Terminal Assembly (TA) can lead to connector / pin damage on the
modules and the 1715-A3IO. Failure to comply with this Attention Notice
will render the Warranty void and the equipment will not be covered.
