QSHT 5700 Inverter Safe Torque-off Function
Hardwired Safe Torque-off
278 MagneMotion
Rockwell Automation Publication MMI-UM007F-EN-P - September 2020
Cascade the Safe Torque-off Signal
The total number of QSHT 5700 inverters in a single cascaded safety circuit is limited by the
current carrying capacity of the cascaded safety wiring. See Table 7-6 for current rating per
channel, per inverter.
In this example, the cascaded safe torque-off (STO) wiring is for an application with three
QSHT 5700 inverters and two separate safety devices.
Figure 7-9: Cascaded STO Wiring - Dual Inverters with Two Safety Devices
In this example, the cascaded STO wiring is for an application with three QSHT inverters and
a single safety device for all inverters.
