9.2.6 Disposal Line | Disposal Tank
t Add some KOH or NaOH cleaning tablets to the disposal container. Use of
a chemical disinfectant is also possible.
t Seal the disposal container airtight with “Parafilm” or a similar sealing film.
9.2.7 Probe Sterilization
t Check whether there has been any contamination after sterilization.
t Avoid rinsing the probes with a non-sterile liquid after sterilization.
9.3 Maintenance and Servicing Activities
9.3.1 Device
If a measurement series is interrupted for a short time (maximum of two days),
the system can continue to be operated without replacing the tubing set.
t If the BioPAT
®
Trace | Multi Trace is to be decommissioned for longer
periods of time (more than 2 days), the tubing set should be replaced
upon recommissioning (see Chapter “6.1 Setup”, page 39).
9.3.2 Tubing Set
Clogged or damaged tubing sets should be replaced with new ones.
t Before every startup of the system, check all connections made with Luer
lock or UNF fittings for any leaks and tighten them as necessary.
