4.2.1 Dialysis Measuring Method Using the Dialysis Probe
The dialysis measuring method using the dialysis probe involves the transfer
of analytes through a dialysis membrane in the dialysis probe which separates
the reactor contents (medium) from the acceptor stream. At the same time,
the dialysis membrane functions as a sterile barrier. Figure 10 shows a
schematic of the flow system.
The calibration valve (green) and the three-way stopcock can be used to
choose between the standards and the manual probe. The sample valve (red)
and the bypass valve (yellow) can be used to select the dialysis probe and the
diffusion module.
