6.2.5 Connecting the Dialysis Probe to the
Tubing Set
When connecting the probe to the tubing set,
ensure that as little air as possible enters the
tubing set, as this is in the form of small air
bubbles, e.g. could get stuck in the measuring
cell and lead to fluctuating readings.
Connect the dialysis probe directly with the
dialysis tubing set of the online analyzer.
t Rinse the probe with deionized water.
t First, only connect the supply line (arrow in
the direction of the probe). Leave the outlet
line (arrow away from the probe) free.
t Start the measurement.
y This triggers the rinsing of the probe and
liquid and, if necessary, residues of air to
escape from the probe outlet line.
t Connect the second line of the tubing set and
continue flushing for a few minutes.
NOTICE
If there are air bubbles in the measuring cell,
under no circumstances should calibrations or
reference measurements be carried out, as these
may be erroneous and subsequently lead to
incorrect results.
