Initial Installation
t Seal the dialysis probe (1) with the cover
caps (2). This will prevent one-sided
overpressure from occurring at the
membrane in the dialysis probe, which could
damage the membrane.
t Sterilize the dialysis probe
NOTICE
Dry sterilization is not suitable, as the membrane
can become damaged.
Steam sterilization at 1 bar and 121°C. The
prerequisite is that the membrane has been
properly installed.
During sterilization, the dialysis probe must be
filled with deionized water and sealed using cover
caps, as the membrane can become damaged.
t Sterilize the dialysis probe and the bioreactor.
t Allow the dialysis probe and bioreactor to cool
down sufficiently after sterilization.
t Fill the dialysis probe with deionized water
using the single-use syringe.
t Check the ionized water for free flow.
y Now, the dialysis probe can be connected to
the corresponding tubing set of the online
analyzer.
