SBC PCD web server
All PCD controllers and PCD3 RIOs come with an integrated web server as standard:
● Webbrowserasatoolforcommissioning,supportandvisualization:
Access to the SBC web server is via standard web browsers such as Internet
Explorer or Netscape Navigator. This makes the web browser, which can be
operated intuitively by anyone, the standard tool for commissioning, service,
support and visualization of machines, units and installations. The user can
retrievepre-deneddeviceandsystem-specicHTMLpages,givingaccess
toalldataoncontrollersandRIOs.Graphicalelements(images,diagrams
etc.)aswellastextdocuments(operatingandrepairmanuals)canalsobe
integrated into the HTML pages, to provide a personalized user interface
● Generalaccesstoanydesiredinterfacesandnetworks:
Access to the web server is available not only via Ethernet TCP/IP, but also via
cost-effectivestandardserialinterfaces(RS-232, RS-485,modemetc.)andvia
Probusnetworks,throughoutthesystemandatdifferentlevelsinthenetwork.
This makes it economical to use web technology to operate and monitor even
the smallest applications.
● TheSBCPCDwebserverisintegratedintoallproducts:
Having a web server integrated as standard eliminates the cost of run-time
licenses or additional modules. In all new PCD controllers and the PCD3 RIOs,
the web server is already included in the base units, at no extra cost.
