4.3.12 Access protection
Access protection

he camera system is mounted on the passageway. In access protection applications,
the camera sensor detects the entry of an entire body.
The following fields are suitable for access protection:
Protective field
Contour detection field
The contour detection field also avoids detection gaps due to inadvertent maladjust‐
ment of the camera or due to manipulation.

4.3.12.1 Protective field
In access protection, the minimum distance typically defines the position at which the
de
vice is mounted.
The protective field must be dimensioned so that a person cannot step over the protec‐
tive field. The protective field must either be 900mm high or extend at least 500mm in
the direction of movement.
