6 The settings in detail 28.01.2015
When the Chimney sweep function is active, forced signals force all heating circuits to
draw heat.
If no heating circuits or consumer circuits have been configured, the generated heat is
discharged into the DHW system.
The DHW system can either consist of a storage tank with a sensor or a storage tank
with a thermostat.
DHW storage tanks featuring a sensor are charged with the forced charging function
until the nominal setpoint is reached.
Unless the legionella function is deactivated, the storage tank will continue to be
charged until the legionella setpoint is reached.
If the thermostat requests heat, DHW storage tanks featuring a thermostat will be
charged until the nominal setpoint is achieved.
Forced heat draw DHW (7165) determines what should happen when the chimney
sweep function is active, i.e., whether priority should be given to the DHW system
instead of heat having to be conveyed to the heating circuits.
Note!
The instantaneous water heater poses a risk of scalding!
If consumption is triggered before the chimney sweep function starts, on systems
featuring instantaneous water heaters, the heat will only be conveyed to the
instantaneous water heater.
Otherwise, the heating circuits will be forced to draw heat.
If the keep-hot function is active when the chimney sweep function is triggered, it will be
aborted and heat will be conveyed to the heating circuits.
If consumption is terminated while the chimney sweep function is active, the chimney
sweep function will be aborted.
Note!
While the chimney sweep function is active, the heat is fed into the instantaneous
water heater. However, the remainder goes to the heating circuits!
If a storage tank charging process is active when the chimney sweep function is
triggered, on systems featuring a DHW storage tank, the heat will be conveyed to the
DHW storage tank while the chimney sweep function is running.
The storage tank will continue to be charged until the current DHW setpoint is reached.
If the storage tank charging process is terminated while the chimney sweep function is
active, the chimney sweep function will be aborted.
If the chimney sweep function is terminated before the charging process comes to an
end, the storage tank charging process will continue until the end of the charging
process is reached.
Note!
A storage tank charging process can be triggered by temporarily increasing the DHW
setpoint.
This means that the generated heat can be consumed while the chimney sweep
function is active without the DHW storage tank incurring any losses.
Notice!
On completion of the chimney sweep function, the DHW setpoint must be reset to its
original value.
