5.3.3.3 Connect the interfaces (X1, X2)

Protection against electrostatic charge
Unused interfaces must be sealed with interface covers.
NOTICE
O-circuit installation
Connect interfaces only when they are fully de-energized!
If you connect interfaces while the system is connected to the power supply, this can damage
the safety components which, in turn, means that the safety function is no longer available.

Connection cables
• MSS components are connected through the system interfaces using connection cables.
• The connection cables are available as adjacent versions (0.025 m). Connection cables up to
max. 2.5 m in length are available for connecting to the diagnostics display.
Note
Reverse polarity protection
Observe the color coding and mechanical coding on the connection cables.
