4.5 Wiring of the MSS 3RK3 Basic
Wiring
Note
All components, including the light curtain, must be operated on the same power supply.
Step Action Result
1 Connect the 3RK3 Basic central unit to the
power supply with:
• + 24 V to terminal L+
• Ground to terminal M
• Ground to terminal FE
The 3RK3 Basic central unit is supplied with power.
2 Connect the expansion module 2/4 F-DI 2F-
DO to the power supply with:
• + 24 V to terminal L+
• Ground to terminal M
The expansion module 2/4 F‑DI 2F‑DO is supplied with power.
3 Connect the light curtain to the power sup‐
ply.
Note:
Please refer here to the operating instruc‐
tions for the light curtain.
The light curtain is supplied with power.
4 Connect the EMERGENCY STOP control de‐
vice to the 3RK3 Basic central unit, with:
• NC 1: Terminal T1/IN3
• NC 2: Terminal T2/IN4
