5.1.13 Expansion module 4/8F-RO
Properties
With the expansion module 4/8F‑RO, the 3RK3 central unit can be expanded with further safety-
related outputs. To achieve SIL 3 per EN 61508 or PL e / Cat. 4 per EN ISO 13849-1, you must
interconnect 2 relay outputs in a logic combination.
• Parameterization is performed using the 3RK3 central unit with Safety ES software.
• Additional expansion modules can be connected to the expansion module 4/8F-RO.

• 8 safety-related single-channel relay outputs
