Phone Control The NPU has the capability to:
• answer incoming phone calls
• place out going phone calls
• place calls on hold
These events are maintained in a queue in chronological order.
Speaker Control The NPU has the capability to call all speakers or selected groups of speakers.
This ability can be used to play an evacuation message over all speakers or to
play a specific message over certain selected speakers. During an event such as a
fire, this ability can aid in coordinating the evacuation effort and the fire fighting
effort.
System Reset allows the operator to initiate a Network Wide Fire or Priority 2 System Reset
operation.
Utility Control The NPU has the capability to control utility functions. Utility functions can be
preprogrammed functions such as city disconnect and manual evac. Utility
Control can also control functions such as fan control and other control functions
that are often provided by LEDs and switches.
Volume a file which contains the actual historical log data.
