9. Reconnect the master cylinder hydraulic hoses.

10. Extend the master cylinder to install the rod end
pin. Install the pin securing screw.
11. Extend the extension cylinder outward to install
the rod end pin through the fly boom. Install the
pin securing screw.
CAUTION
There is a risk of personal injury or equipment
damage. Test the equipment operation before
putting the machine into service. See the Function
Tests in the Operating Manual.
5.4-15 Main Boom Lift Cylinder Removal
CAUTION
There is a risk of personal injury or equipment
damage. Always use suitable lifting equipment
and safe rigging practices when performing the
following procedure.
Preparation:

Make sure the machine is parked on level
ground before beginning.
Procedure:
1. Raise the riser up so the lift cylinder pins are
accessible. The base-end pin must be above
the counterweight and the rod end pin must be
above the riser tube.

2. Place a suitable stand or support under the main
boom assembly that can support its weight,
towards the platform end.
3. Lower the main boom so it is resting lightly on
the stand and weight is taken off of the cylinder
pins.
4. Shut the machine down. Make sure the e-stops
are pushed in and the key is off.
5. Turn the main power disconnect switch off. Lock
out the switch.
6. Mark and disconnect the lift cylinder hoses from
the base end. Cap hoses and ports to prevent
contamination.
7. Place wood blocking through the riser arms so
the rod end of the cylinder can rest on it once
the pin is removed.
