Manifold and Hydraulic Pumps Section 5 – Procedures
5.9-10 Test Reverse Drive Pressure on
Drive Pump
NOTE
Make sure the charge pump pressure test is
completed first.
1. Locate test port TP2
1
on the drive pump.
2. Connect a pressure gauge (700 bar/10000 psi)
to test port TP2
1
.
1
3. Start the engine from the platform controls.
4. Unplug the brake solenoid power cable (26) on
the brake valve.
5. Activate the drive function slowly in reverse with
the engine at high speed. The wheels should
not turn.
NOTE
Activating the drive function too fast will stall the
engine.
6. Check the reading on the gauge. The standard
pressure should be 345 bar (5000 psi).
7. Replace the pump if pressure is not achieved.
8. Turn the engine off.
9. Remove the pressure gauge from the port, cap
the port, and reconnect the brake solenoid
power cable.
5.9-11 Hydraulic Standby Pressure
Adjustment
1. Locate the GP port
2
on the main manifold.
2
2. Connect a pressure gauge (41 bar/600 psi) to
the GP port
2
.
3. Start the engine from the base controls and let it
run for 2-5 minutes.
4. Check the reading on the gauge. The standard
pressure should be 19 bar (270 psi). Follow the
next steps for adjusting the pressure, if needed.
1
5. Adjust the system pump pressure by turning
the adjusting stem either clockwise to increase
the pressure, or counterclockwise to decrease
the pressure. Note: You must steer fully in one
direction to activate pressure reading on gauge.
6. Turn the engine off.
7. Remove the pressure gauge from the GP
2
port and plug the port.
