5 PressSYSTEMMENUwhile the recorderis
in stop mode.
6 Select "Setup," and pressENTER.
7 Select"Features," and pressENTER.
The "Features" setup appears.
8 Select "Synchro Recording,"and press
ENTER.
9 Select "to DVD," andpress ENTER.
10 PressSYSTEMMENUto exit the menu.
11 Set the timer on theconnectedequipment
to the time of the programyou want to
record, andturn it off.
12 PressSYNCHROREC.
The SYN( HRO RE(' indicator lights np on
the front panel. The recorder is ready to start
Synchro-Recording.
The recorder automatically starts recording
when it receives an inpnt signal from the
connected equipment. The recorder stops
recording when the connected eqnipment
tnms off.
Tostoprecording
Press • STOP twice.
To cancel Synchro Rec function
Press SYNCHRO RE(. The SYNCHRO RE(.'
indicator on the recorder turns oft'.
If you press SYNCHRO RE(: during Synchro-
Recording, the Synchro-Recording stops, the
SYNCHRO REC indicator turns off and the
recorder's power turns o1"1".
• Tile recorder starts recording only aria detecting the
video signal fiom the connected equipment. The
beginning of the program may not be recorded
regardless of whether or not the recorder's power is on
or oft'.
• Dining Synchro-Recording, other opelations such as
nomlal recording cannot be done
• To use the connected equipment while the recorder is
standing by tbr Synchro-Recording, cancel SF_lchlo-
Recording by pressing SYNCHRO REC. Be sure to
turn offthe co_mected equipment and press
SYNCHRO REC to reset Synchro-Recording before
the timer recording starts.
• The Synchlo Rec fimction does not work with some
tunas. For details, see the tuner's opaating
instructions.
• While the recorder is standing by for S_lchro-
Recording, the Auto Clock Set fimction (page 99) does
not work.
• To use the Synchro Rec fimction, you must first set the
recorder's clock correctly.
• When the recorder's power is on, the recorda enters
the Synchro-Recording standby mode after a Synchro-
Recording has finished
If the timer settings of a Synchro-Recording
and another timer recording overlap
Regardless of whether or not the program is a
Synchro Rec program, the program that starts first
has priority. The recorder switches to start
recording the second program around 10 seconds
after the first program has finished.
