Yon can make the following edits to the title.
"Erase": Erases the selected title. Select "OK"
when asked for confirmation.
"Protect": Protects the title. Select "On" when
the Protection display appears. "[_ " appears
next to the protected title. To cancel the
protection, select "Off."
"Title Name": Allows you to enter or re-enter
a title name (page 46).
"A-B Erase": Erases a section of the title (see
below).

Erasinga section of a title

You can select a section (scene) in a title and erase
it. Note that erasing scenes in a title cannot be
undone.
1 Press DVD to control the DVD recorder.
2 Press TITLE LIST.
Press ORIGINAL,PLAYLIST to switch the
"Title List(Original)," if necessary.
3 Select a title, and press ENTER.
The snh-menu appears.
4 Select"A-B Erase," and press ENTER.
The display for setting points A and B
appears.
"Start" is selected.
10:10 AM
Press ENTER at the starting point of the
portion to be erased (point A).
You can use I2:> PLAY, _1/1t_-_,
I,_l iI_IH • STOP and II PAUSE to find
the point of the portion to be erased.
PressENTERat the endingpoint of the
portion to be erased (pointB).
"Erase" is selected.
Select "Erase," andpress ENTER.
The display asks Ibrconfirmation.
Select "OK," andpress ENTER.
The scene is erased. To continne, repeat from
step 5. To finish, select "Finish."

A chapter mark is inserted after the scene was e_ased The
chapter maik divides the title into sepaiate chapters on
either side of the mark.
• hnages or sound may be momentarily intaTupted at the
point where you erase a section of a title.
• Sections shorter than five seconds may not be erased
• The start and end points of a title may be diffe_ ent flora
what you have set.
• The total playing time of the title does not change even
ifa scene was erased
