Thelaserplummetisintegratedintotheverticalaxisoftheinstrument.Undernormalcondi‐
tionsofuse,thelaserplummetdoesnotneedadjusting.Ifanadjustmentisnecessarydueto
externalinfluences,theinstrumenthastobereturnedtoaStonex
®
servicedepartment.
Inspectthelaserplummetstepbystep
1) Setuptheinstrumentonthetripodapproximately1.5 mabovethegroundandlevelup.
2) Toactivatethelaserplummet,turnontheinstrument,and,iftiltcorrectionissetto1‐or
2‐axis,thelaserplummetwillbeactivatedautomatically,andtheLevel & Plummet
screenappears.Otherwise,pressFNCfromwithinanyapplicationandselectLevel &
Plummet.
3 Markthecenteroftheredlaserdotontheground.
4 Turntheinstrumentslowlythrough360°,carefullyobservingthemovementoftheredlaser
dot.
5 Ifthecenterofthelaserdotmakesaclearlycircularmovement,ormovesmorethan3 mm
awayfromthepointwhichwasfirstmarked,anadjustmentmayberequired.Callyour
nearestStonex
®
servicedepartment.
Dependingonbrightnessandsurfacetype,thesizeofthelaserdotcanvary.Ataheightof
1.5 manaveragediameterof2.5 mmisestimated.

Inspectionofthelaserplummetshouldbecarriedoutonabright,smoothand
horizontalsurface,suchasasheetofpaper.

Themaximumdiameterofthecircularmovementdescribedbythecenterof
thelaserdotshouldnotexceed3 mmataheightof1.5 m.
