Some ASIs must be used with specific types of loads and stores; for example, block ASIs can be used only with
LDDFA/STDFA. When these ASIs are used with incorrect opcodes, they do not take
mem_address_not_aligned
or
illegal_instruction
traps for memory and register alignment required by the ASI. For example, block ASIs require
64-byte alignment, but an LDFA opcode with a block ASI checks only for 4-byte alignment.
