Standards and Regulations
Thecontainerwillmeticulouslycomplywiththespeciedrequirementsandregulations,unlessexplicitly
statedotherwiseinthisspecication.
ISO Container Standards
The container will adhere to the following ISO standards and regulations:
ISO668:Series1freightcontainers-Classicationexternaldimensionsandratings(2013)(excepthigh).
ISO 830: Terminology in relation to freight containers (1999/Cor.1:2001).
ISO1161:Series1freightcontainers-CornerttingsSpecication(4thedition-1984).
ISO1496-1:Series1freightcontainers-Specicationandtesting.Part1:Generalcargocontainersfor
general purposes (ISO 1496-1:2013/Amd.1:2016).
ISO6346:Freightcontainers-coding,identication,andmarking(ISO6346:1995/Amd.3:2012).
These internationally recognized ISO standards ensure that the container meets the necessary criteria
forclassication,dimensions,cornerttings,generalcargopurposes,andcoding.Compliancewiththese
standards guarantees the container's compatibility and interoperability within the global transportation and
logistics industry.
C.S.C. Certication
Allcontainerswillundergocerticationandcomplywiththerequirementsofthe"InternationalConvention
fortheSafeContainers."
a. Lifting,whetherfullorempty,atthetopcornerttingsverticallyusingspreadersequippedwithhooks,
shackles, or twist locks.
b. Lifting,whetherfullorempty,atthebottomcornerttingsusingslingswithterminalttingsatanyangles
ranging from vertical to 45 degrees to the horizontal.
Handling
The container will be designed and constructed to withstand handling without sustaining any permanent
deformation under the following conditions:
Transportation
The container will be constructed to be suitable for transportation in the following modes:
a. Marine: The container can be securely stacked up to seven (7) high in the ship cell guides of vessels,
based on a maximum weight of 30,480kg. On the deck of vessels, the container can be stacked up to
four(4)highandwillbeproperlysecuredatthecornerttingsusingappropriateverticaland/ordiagonal
lashings.
b. Road:Thecontainercanbetransportedonatbedorskeletalchassisandwillbesecuredatthebottom
cornerttingsusingtwistlocksorequivalentmechanisms.
c. Rail:Thecontainercanbetransportedonatcarsorspecialcontainercarsandwillbesecuredatthe
bottomcornerttingsusingtwistlocksorequivalentmechanisms.

Allcontainerswillbecertiedfordesigntypeandindividuallyinspectedbytheclassicationsociety,BV.
