Preparation
To ensure optimal surface quality and longevity, the following surface preparation procedures will be fol-
lowed:
1. All steel surfaces, whether before or after forming, will undergo thorough abrasive shot blasting in ac-
cordancewithSwedishStandardSA21/2.Thisprocesswilleectivelyremoverust,dirt,millscale,and
anyotherforeignmaterialsfromthesteelsurfaces.Theshotblastedsurfaceprolewillhaveamaximum
peak to valley height of 50 microns, with an average peak to valley height of approximately 25 microns.
2. All door hardware components will undergo hot-dip zinc galvanization, resulting in a zinc coating with a
thickness of approximately 75 microns. This galvanization process provides excellent corrosion protec-
tion for the door hardware.
3. Fastenerssuchasself-tappingscrews,bolts,nuts,hinges,camkeepers,andlashingttingswillundergo
electro-galvanization. This process will provide these components with a zinc coating of approximately
13 microns thickness, enhancing their corrosion resistance.
Surface Preservation
The side wall of the container features a trapezium section design. It consists of 1.6 mm thick fully vertically
continuous-corrugated steel outer panels near each post, along with 1.6 mm thick intermediate inner pan-
els. These panels are butt-welded together to form one panel and are continuously welded to the side rails
and corner posts, ensuring a robust and reliable sidewall construction.

Foreectivesurfaceprotectionandlong-lastingperformance,thefollowingcoatingprocedureswillbeimple-
mented:
Prior to Assembly: Immediately after the shot blasting process, all steel surfaces will be coated with a
two-pack polyamide-cured zinc-rich epoxy primer. This primer will have a thickness of 10 microns and
will be applied to all steel surfaces. After the coating, the components will be dried in a designated drying
room.
After Assembly: After the assembly of the container, all weldments will undergo shot blasting to elimi-
nateweldinguxes,splatters,burntprimercoatingsresultingfromweldingheat,andanyotherforeign
materials. Subsequently, these blasted weldments will be coated with zinc-rich epoxy primer, further
enhancing their corrosion resistance.
