5 DRILLING
5.1 PREPARATION AND CHECK-UP BEFORE WORKING
a) Different types of drilling tools are selected according to the soil and rock. Note: even
when drilling in the same hole, several different bits may be used alternately.
b) Check hydraulic oil, no oil leakage.
c) Check fuel oil level.
d) Check steel rope for abrasion.
e) Check the cutting blade of drilling tool for abrasion or damage.
f) Check bolts and nuts for tightening.
g) Check joysticks, levers and gauges.
h) Check engine coolant (see engine operation manual).
5.2 STARTING ENGINE
1 Open key switch to “on”, engine stop indicator light(Red light) and failure indicator
light(Yellow light) self-check, if the engine is in good condition, the red light and
yellow light will automatically extinguish after two lights are 1s.If one of the lights
is always bright, it should stop starting engine immediately and check for faults.
2 Temperature is low in winter, the engine intake system is preheating when the
waiting starting indicator light is on, the engine will not start until the white light is
off.
3 Turn on key switch to “START” and start engine (see engine manual )
4 Set each control lever to “Medium” position and pilot safety handle to “OFF”
position before engine start-up.
5 Run engine at low speed for 5 minutes after engine start-up
6 Circumstance temperature is low in winter, hydraulic oil must be pre-heated before
load working
