5.4 MACHINE ASSEMBLY
5.4.1 Machine Positioning
1 Select firm, level and wide ground;
2 Pull out the lock pin of upper-carriage and undercarriage.
5.4.2 Self-Assembly and Self-Disassembly of Drill Mast
1 Loose the lock pin between the upper mast and middle mast. (When transportation,
this pin should be locked to fix the folding upper mast and main mast ) extend upper
mast with cathead to a same straight line with main mast, and then tighten that with
bolts.
2 Connect the cathead with cable to other lifting equipment and then lift it till pins and
bolts are installed.
3 Release the wire rope of main winch to a proper length to lift the kelly.
4 Extend the luffing cylinder of drill mast in comply with the operation instruction in the
chapter of Control, till drill mast is erected slowly.
5 The procedure of drill mast self-disassembly is opposite to above ones.
★Warning
⑴ Work personnel should be on the work site to assist the operator during the process;
⑵ The wire rope should be controlled by the main and auxiliary winch in a proper length
during the process. Besides, don’t result in disorder.
5.4.3 Kelly Bar Mounting
1. Connect following frame and kelly bar with bolts at first;
2. Install one end of the swivel joint to the kelly bar with pin shaft, note that the swivel joint
