SWDM40 OPERATION & MAINTENANCE MANUAL
10 ENVIRONMENT PROTECTION /WASTE
DISPOSAL
10.1 OVERVIEW
Liability and responsibility of laws relating with correct recycle/ disposal of waste should
be observed when working or operating on the machine. If there’s appendix, it also should be
observed during operation.
In the natural reserve, maybe more others measures are needed besides following ones.
10.2 STORAGE AND TRANSPORT FOR AUXILIARY &
RUNNING MATERIAL OF MACHINE AND SYSTEM
Before transport and storage, following parts should be emptied, cleaned, sealed and protected
from leakage:
– Cut pipes and wires
– Hoses and junction parts
– Engine compartment
– Fuel tank
– Oil tank
Place a container with enough capacity to collect oil and fuel. Pay attention to not let oil
penetrate into ground when disconnecting hydraulic connection, changing oil or maintaining.
For example, the whole process should be watched when filling or emptying the oil tank or
hydraulic pipes.
Before storage, lubricating grease film and oil film should be removed (with vapor spraying
device) before storage. The waste water containing oil should be cleaned with special device.
Auxiliary material and running material, such as lubricating grease, oil, fuel, coolant or
detergent should be stored in suitable marked cases or containers.
Proper conditions should be provided for storing hydraulic hoses and hydraulic pipes. The
ageing and the change caused by material features during used process should be reduced to the
minimum extent as possible as could be.
The longest storage time of hydraulic hoses and pipes should be not over than two years. After a
long-term storage, the hydraulic hoses and pipes should be checked for obvious damage and
defects before operation, and this should be done by qualified professional personnel with rich
experiences.
