6.4 REQUIREMENTS FOR SEA TRANSPORT
The key of sea transport is to take prevention measures to prevent corrosion from seawater.
The selection and use of protection material is as below:
1. Protection of non-coating parts (electroplated parts, phosphating parts).
Apply anti-rust grease 377-HF, which should be applied evenly for twice.
Pack these parts with polyethylene film (bags) or wrapping film, and seal with
polyethylene adhesive tape.
2.Protection of coating surface
Exposed coating surface should be wrapping up and packing with air bubble film, and then
sealed with anti-rust wrapping film. Besides, the binding should be tight and the overlap should
be no less than 150mm, and that should be fixed after 3 layers of binding. The surface of
covering parts is applied with TESA（50530）paint protective film. (including the outer coating
surface of cab).
Inner decoration surface, coating surface, seat, floor, control levers and the operation panel
in the cab are packed with TESA

inner layer protective film.
3. Protection of reduction gearbox, joints of exposed oil tube, bolts and end surface of pins.
Apply anti-rust grease 377-HF, which should be applied evenly for twice. And seal with 3
layers of anti-rust wrapping film (this is also suitable for part assembly).
4. Protection of glass window
Seal with TESA

transparent glass protective film. Stick the film along one end of
outer surface of glass and scrape that with rubber scraper blade in one direction. Make sure the
protective film is pasted on the glass closely without damage and obvious air bubble.
5. Protection of electrical system and hoses
For the distribution box, spray silicon type coating 494-714 onto exposed plugs (seat),
contactors, and seal that with anti-water plastic bags or wrapping film. Place drying agent in the
distribution box and fix that.
Seal exposed rubber pipes, electrical lines and connector with wrapping film and fix that.
Drying agent should be silica gel or montmorillonite which is packed with cotton (bags),
and it should be fixed.
