SATA And RST Configuration
SATA Controller(s)
Use this feature to enable or disable the onboard SATA controller supported by the Intel PCH
chip. The options are Enabled and Disabled.
Support Aggressive Link Power Management
When this feature is set to Enabled, the SATA AHCI controller manages the power usage of the
SATA link. The controller will put the link in a low power mode during extended periods of I/O
inactivity and will return the link to an active state when I/O activity resumes. The options are
Disabled and Enabled.
SATA0 / SATA1 / SATA2 / SATA3
This feature displays the information detected on the installed SATA drive on the particular
SATA port.
Software Preserve Support
Hot Plug
Set this feature to Enable for hot plug support, which allows you to replace a SATA drive
without shutting down the system. The options are Disabled and Enabled.
Spin Up Device
Set this feature to enable or disable the PCH to initialize the device. The options are Disabled
and Enabled.
SATA Device Type
Use this feature to specify if the SATA port is connected to a Solid State Drive or a Hard Disk
Drive. The options are Hard Disk Drive and Solid State Drive.
VMD Setup Menu
VMD Configuration
Enable VMD Controller
Use this feature to enable or disable the VMD controller. The options are Disabled and
Enabled.
Enable VMD Global Mapping (Available when Enable VMD Controller is set to
"Enabled")
Use this feature to enable or disable VMD global mapping. The options are Disabled and
Enabled.
