ENGINE REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION
ENGINE REMOVAL
Before taking the engine out of the frame, wash the engine
using a steam cleaner. Engine removal is sequentially explained
in the following steps. Reinstall the engine by reversing the
removal procedure.
• Drain engine oil. (2-9)
• Remove the seat. (7-4)
• Disconnect the battery lead wires.
• Remove the front fender side cover 1. (L & R)
• Remove the footrest mud guard 2. (L & R)
• Remove the front fender 3.
When disconnecting the lead wires, be sure to discon-
nect the - battery lead wire first.
