Kick Starter
Removal
Remove left crankcase cover.
Disassembly of kick starter
Remove 4 screws, and remove the kick starter
plate.
Remove snap clip and thrust washer from left
crankcase cover.
Install kick start arm, rotate the lever slightly, and
then remove driven gear and washer.
Remove the kick starter arm, kick starter spindle,
and return spring as well as socket.
Inspection
Check if starter spindle, driven gear for wear or
damage.
Reassembly of Kick Starter
Install bush, return spring and starter spindle as
diagram shown.
Install thrust washer and snap clip onto starter
spindle.
Install Kick starter lever temporary.
Slightly rotate the lever and then align driven gear
with width-tooth on the starter spindle.
Install the friction spring of drive gear onto convex
part of the cover.
Install kick starter plate.
