8.3. BRAKE ASSEMBLY

Carry out the procedure described in paragraph
7.6. “Disassembling the guards
” disassembling
only the right guards.
1. Back off the 2 screws a
and shift the brake
winding support to the side.
2. Insert an 0.6 mm
thick plate between the
copper disk and the winding support.
3.
Bring the winding support into contact with
the plate.
4. Lock the screws back down.
5.
Pull out the plate and check that, also on the
opposite side of the copper disk, there is
sufficient space for the plate between the disk
and the winding support.
6.
Turn the flywheel assembly, checking that
the copper disk does not m
ake any noise by
dragging against the winding.
WARNING: check the flatness of the
copper disk using a comparator gauge:
the permissible margin is ± 0.15 mm.
