This section discusses how ClearPath-EC motors can be integrated into
your EtherCAT machine topology.
The ClearPath-EC system:
x Features the same compact motor size as other ClearPath models
x Works with standard, off-the-shelf network patch cables (CAT 5
or higher)
x Uses a single, low cost motor-to-M12 Adapter cable (one per
motor) available from Teknic in 39", 144" and 315" lengths

ClearPath-EC EtherCAT system overview
E THER CAT M ASTER
All EtherCAT Masters that support the CiA 402 device profiles should be
compatible with ClearPath-EC motors.
IMPORTANT: It is the user's responsibility to ensure that the Network
Interface Card (NIC) in their Master uses an EtherCAT compatible
chipset.
