x ClearPath motors require that a conductive path exist between
the motor chassis and the Protective Earth (PE) connection of
the machine to which it is affixed. (Note: The PE connection is
often satisfied by simply bolting the motor to the machine;
however it is the users responsibility to verify the PE
connection.) If an external grounding wire is required, use the
same or larger wire gauge as used between the DC power supply
and ClearPath Motor.
x Any maintenance or repair guide created by the user shall state
that power shall be removed before the Protective Earth ground
conductor is disconnected. When reconnecting power, the
Protective Earth ground conductor shall be the first wire
reconnected. Main power may be reconnected only after the
Safety Ground connection is secure.
